John had played in only one band before he joined forces with Rick in starting
Guns For Hire.
For nearly a decade he played in Horizon, in which Rick was the
lead singer.
Horizon broke up in the late 80's.and John dropped out of the music scene for almost 15 years.
In the summer of 2003, John decided to buy a guitar again.He
ran into Rick at the Music Mart, and they started talking about playing together again.
They have been going strong ever since.
John's influences are,
Angus Young,Zakk Wylde, B.B. King, and Rick Ely.
